Summertime in the lab

July 14, 2009 Ryan O’MearaLisez en Francais

Hello all, hope your summer is going well so far.

Normally the summer time is “down-time” in many institutions (school’s out, people go on vacation etc,.) but its still bustling and busy in the lab!  JP and I are hard at work achieving some solid findings in our work to understand the biology of oligodendrocytes – the myelin-producing cells of the brain. We are keen for good results since we have recently been accepted to attend an international conference in Paris in September called “Glia.” This conference attracts top researchers across the world to share their progress in oligodendrocyte biology, as well as other brain cell types.

We are very much looking forward to this trip to share our knowledge and experiences from MS research!

Congratulations on the acceptance to the Glia conference! What a great opportunity to represent Canadian researchers. Good luck!
